EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS:
Silica can also be used externally. To do this, mix a little liquid silica to a saline solution that you can find at your local chemist, and dab with a compress and clean round the eyes of the animal.
For cats and small dogs: 10 ml per day.
For large dogs: 30 ml per day for a period of 3 to 4 weeks or more if necessary.
For horses: 100 ml per day.
These doses may be doubled without inconvenience in early treatment for serious cases.
